The Rooster Design Group asked for chefs, home cooks, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs and all-around culinary geniuses to inspire us with their artisanal food product and food concept.

The call for inspiration was answered by more than 140 entries. We were wonderfully overwhelmed. The entire team read through each entry and deliberated to narrow field to ten food concepts. The semi-finalists provided a presentation of their culinary creations and the Rooster Team happily sampled the deliciousness. After considerable conversations, five finalists were nominated for Culinary Genius.

On January 12, 2010 Rooster hosted the final judging event to name the Culinary Genius. The distinguished panel of judges included:

Kombucha Brooklyn has been brewing for close to 3 years and can be found in select stores around New York. They take great pride in careful brewing and blending; diligently caring for and propagating kombucha cultures that are the source of the magic. Working hard to find, select and use the best organic ingredients, Kombucha Brooklyn monitors each batch from beginning to end. Kombucha Brooklyn intends to donate a portion of profits to Brooklyn- and New York City-based community and environmental services.
